Are you a Universal Credit claimant? We need your opinion on what aspects are working well and to hear about any problems you've had. Our online survey is part of a national research project and feedback gathered will be given directly to the Department for Work & Pensions.
Universal Credit is a new benefit that's being introduced in stages across the UK. Universal Credit replaces the following benefits and consolidates them into a single monthly payment:
Income-Related Jobseeker's Allowance
Income-Related Employment & Support Allowance
Child Tax Credit
Working Tax Credit
For new claims, most Sutton residents of working age are required to claim Universal Credit rather than the benefits above. Existing claimants will be transferred to Universal Credit over the next few years. You can check if you live in a Universal Credit jobcentre area on the Gov.uk website.
If you live in Sutton and need to make a claim for Universal Credit, you can do so online, as well as checking your Universal Credit area eligiblity. If you have a question about a claim you can call the Universal Credit helpline on 0345 604 3719, but there's a charge for calling this number and the DWP expect most correspondence about Universal Credit to be sent through the online journal.
